Why Not Me?

So recently I went for a camp organised by my college's Christian Fellowship and to be very honest I didn't enjoy myself, especially during the games. A reason given is because firstly I'm not a very sociable person, I prefer sticking to people or friends I know and am comfortable with. During the games, I was placed in a group of unfamiliar faces and I didn't know how to express myself. Though I did try, I really did. I tried sharing my opinions and ideas but I was sort of 'ignored'? To make it clearer I'm the kind of person who will try to talk but if I'm not heard or I get ignore, I won't try again. It's like I feel there's no point trying if I'm just going to brushed off. That aside, after camp my best friend texted me asking if I was asked to join the committee (I wasn't) and she told me they did ask her. So I was like 'that's great'.
